Hip Arthroscopy and Preservation Center

Hip preservation surgery includes a comprehensive group of surgical techniques which repair damage to the injured hip joint and correct underlying bony deformity causing hip pain. Common conditions include labral tears, FAI (Femoroacetabular impingement), and hip dysplasia. Hip arthroscopy has become the most common form of treatment and allows for minimally invasive treatment (2-3 one cm incisions) of many hip disorders. Other common treatments include the PAO (periacetabular osteotomy), proximal femoral osteotomy, and surgical hip dislocation. Dr. Nepple and his team offer a comprehensive approach to pre-arthritic hip disorders in order to maximize the outcomes of these interventions.
